This project was my work for a class under the prompt of [What inspires you?]. [Culture: 文化. ] highlights my background as an Australian-Born-Chinese, in which the photograph edited in the graphic was taken in Box Hill during the 2020 Lunar New Year. I decided to respond to the prompt using my background as the recent arising problems of sinophobia and asiaphobia became a revival of The Yellow Peril; so I wanted to portray my pride as someone who has cultural roots in China. My parents were born in Hong Kong, whereas I was born in Melbourne, Victoria - specifically in Box Hill.
